Impact Studio, based in Veles, Macedonia, reached out to DECIBEL to solve issues with high reverberation time (RT) that were affecting the quality of their audio recordings. The studio was struggling with unwanted sound reflections that reduced clarity and accuracy during production.

Reducing Reverberation

Solution

DECIBEL developed a tailored treatment plan using a combination of absorbers and diffusers to improve the studio’s acoustics:

• Gyza Raster Absorbers were installed to reduce echo and control mid and high frequencies.
• Z Absorbers were added in targeted locations for additional absorption.
• Acoustic Pyramid panels helped reduce surface reflections.
• Arc Bass Traps were placed in corners to manage low-frequency build-up.
• Aztec Diffusers improved sound dispersion, creating a more balanced room response.

This mix of acoustic elements created an environment with controlled reverberation, improved sound accuracy, and consistent performance across the full frequency spectrum.

The project resulted in a significant reduction in reverberation time, creating a well-balanced studio with improved recording and mixing quality. The client now works in a space where clarity, accuracy, and comfort are all achieved.
